Part 1: Identifying and Reporting Suspected Child Abuse, Neglect, and Human Trafficking
Educators and trustees must understand reporting requirements related to sexual abuse, human trafficking, and other maltreatment of children. Hear about significant legislative changes and a new waiver of immunity for districts. This session will meet the CEC requirement for child abuse prevention training and will be eligible for continuing legal education (CLE) for Texas attorneys.

Trustees may act only by majority vote of the members present at a meeting held in compliance with the Open Meetings Act. The recent legislative session brought significant changes to how and when school boards hold and conduct meetings. A panel of school attorneys will discuss recent changes and strategies for complying with the new requirements.
